As a registered nonprofit, Drexel Academy relies on grants, major gifts, and personal donations from Tulsa community members to provide a quality education for some of Tulsa’s most underserved children. As we look towards the end of another school year, Drexel Academy is again looking to the community to further expand educational opportunities by donating to help our institution obtain a cargo van. This new vehicle will allow us to transport students on local educational field trips.
Tulsa currently offers many educational opportunities outside of the classroom for students; however, many of the students we serve may not be able to visit these facilities outside of school hours. Some of the locations that we would love to show our students include the Tulsa Botanic Gardens, Gilcrease Museum, Greenwood Cultural Center, Tulsa Zoo, Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa Fairgrounds and much more. Unfortunately, without the funding needed to purchase a van capable of transporting an entire 15-child classroom, these opportunities remain unavailable.
